Jeremy Mcgilvrey : Whether you know it or not, you have a running conversation with yourself all the time. What is the nature of yours? Do you encourage yourself? Or do you criticize yourself? If you’re positive, then you help to create a positive self-image. If you’re negative, you undermine your self-worth.
If you want to change your life, you have to change the way you think of yourself. And do you know how to do that? By changing the way you talk to yourself. You need to learn to become your own encourage, your own cheerleader. Every time you do a good job don’t just let it pass; give yourself a compliment.
Our self-talk can play a crucial role in our successes or failures in life. If we choose to beat ourselves down, more often then not we will find ourselves in defeat. However, if we choose to build ourselves up, we will find ourselves succeeding.
